Answers to common questions

How do I add new employees to the system?

Invite them one at a time from the People screen, or upload a CSV using the bulk import template. Each person gets an email invite and completes their own profile — you never have to type their details for them.

Can I assign multiple approvers to an employee?

Yes. Approval routing is configured per request type, so leave, overtime, and other requests can each follow their own chain of approvers.

How do I run payroll?

Open the payroll period, review the attendance and adjustments trellis has already gathered, then generate payslips. Statutory deductions are computed for you.

How are taxes calculated?

trellis computes BIR withholding tax alongside SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG contributions from the current statutory tables, using each employee's salary structure.

Can I import employee data from another system?

Yes. Export your existing records to CSV and use the bulk import template. Our onboarding team can help map your columns if you are switching platforms.

What if I add someone mid-month?

Employees added between the 1st and the 15th of the month are billed the full ₱100 for that month. From the 16th onwards you pay ₱50 — half the month, half the price. Either way they are billed the full rate from the next renewal. Annual seats are different: they are prorated by whole months up to your plan anniversary.

What happens after the first 6 months?

From the end of your first 6 months, every active employee is billed at the per-employee rate — including your first 20. Nobody is switched off: your team keeps working, and you add paid seats to cover everyone before adding anyone new. We email you 30 days and 7 days before the date, and on the day.
